A woman who has been hailed as Japan’s own Baba Vanga has a bleak prediction for July that’s sparking people to cancel their trips — and even prompting discussions around travel insurance, emergency evacuation coverage, and natural disaster risk management.
Baba Vanga is world-renowned for her often bleak but accurate predictions about the world, despite having passed away in 1996.
The late Bulgarian mystic accurately predicted major events such as the 9/11 attacks and the death of Princess Diana — events that reshaped international security protocols and emergency preparedness policies globally.
But there’s another person who has been making eerily accurate predictions about our future, and that’s Ryo Tatsuki.
Tatsuki is a manga artist and in 1999 released her book called The Future I Saw. In it, she detailed visions that she’d had, some of which have come true — causing anxiety that has affected tourism insurance markets and global risk forecasting agencies.
It’s thought that one of Tatsuki’s most accurate predictions to date was a major disaster in March 2011. This date ended up being the same time that Japan was hit by a cataclysmic quake and tsunami in the northern Tohoku region.
