With over 1,700 signatures (as of this writing), the petition describes it as a lifeline for many in Weber County, but also as a dangerous situation owing to the low shoulder width.
“Ogden Canyon serves as a nerve-wracking daily commute for families and young drivers,” the petition emphasizes, drawing attention to the dangers that bigger cars face when traversing its tight path.
It requests the community’s help in limiting vehicle kinds and making commuting safer in order to increase safety and avoid such tragedies in the future.
“Let’s stand together for the safety of our loved ones and residents of Weber County,” according to the petition.
“Show your support to limiting the types of vehicles on Highway 39 and make daily commuting in our beautiful canyon much safer.”
