Tragic incident: 14-year-old girl takes pictures at the top of waterfall before she falls to her death.

There were attempts at rescue, but video footage from the site illustrates how hard it was to get Moe’s corpse.

The person who fell got all the way to the bottom, but they were unable to free themselves from the rocks, according to rescuer Mon Zaw.

She couldn’t get out, and that’s why she died. Nobody was able to free her despite their best efforts. Then the relief groups and government representatives showed up.

The video footage of the rescue effort showed the rapid flow of the waterfall and the challenges in locating and securely recovering Moe’s corpse. They were seen attempting to drag her out by putting ropes around her wrists.

The adolescent’s remains were sent to the Paung Township General Hospital for a postmortem investigation after they extracted her.
