Sadly, William passed away last month. After that, in the morning, Rebecca went to see how her son was doing, but he was still unconscious in bed.
Mother Rebecca has spoken out about her “nightmare” loss to the New Zealand Herald, revealing how her life has been shattered.
That she and her family are “simply don’t understand and cannot believe he is gone” was her statement to the media.
“It feels like the worst nightmare that we cannot wake from.” It was on June 13—two days after William’s sore throat had begun—that his mother contacted the physicians.
William tragically passed on the next day. “We just don’t understand how this can happen to a boy who was barely ever sick and was very healthy,” said Rebecca.
We still don’t know how the symptoms that began on Tuesday—a sore throat, stuffy nose, and cough—emerged three days later and disappeared. Nobody gets it; we have no idea what transpired. The results will be available soon.
