According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the 49-year-old’s corpse could not be recovered despite the best efforts of the Corvallis Fire Department, the first responders on the site.
Two other adults, including Pomeroy’s spouse Kyle Linden Webster and their pals, were located by officials; however, Pomeroy herself evaded their grasp.
Authorities paused the search until the next day after “searching downstream from the incident site, both by land and water,” but they still haven’t found the corpse of the professional chef.
“BCSO personnel have been on the water every day since Saturday searching for Naomi and will continue to deploy resources until her recovery,” according to the release.
