Tragic inner tube accident kills 49-year-old Top Chef Masters star Naomi Pomeroy.

Additional safety measures that should be taken include always wearing a life jacket, not tying oneself to a paddle board, and adhering to “other boating laws and safety precautions.”

Pomeroy started her culinary business, Ripe Catering, in 1999 when she was 24 years old. She was born in Corvallis, Oregon.

A few years later, she became engaged with a coffee shop named Gotham and an underground dinner club called Family dinner, among many other ventures.

After those endeavors concluded in 2007, Pomeroy launched her restaurant, Beast. Ripe Cooperative, a restaurant and marketplace offering pre-ordered meal boxes, took over the facility in 2020.

Top Chef Masters (2011) was one of the culinary competition series the chef featured in; she was ousted in the episode leading up to the finale, although she returned for many appearances as a guest judge.
