Tragic suicide letter of Fandango tycoon emerges after father-of-six’s tragic leap from posh Manhattan hotel

 

Jumping from the third story courtyard of The Kimberly Hotel, 64-year-old co-founder of movie-ticketing giant Fandango, J. Michael Cline landed on Tuesday morning.

When the pandemic hit in 2000, Cline’s company took a hit. For over two years, theaters had to close or implement limitations on the amount of audiences they could accommodate.

As a managing partner at the startup financing business Accretive, Cline was also involved in other entrepreneurial endeavors.

He was so wealthy that he had many multi-million dollar mansions in Palm Beach, Florida, Greenwich, Connecticut, and the Hamptons on Long Island, New York.
