Wiggins, 56, shared on social media only hours before the tragic accident that her mother Patricia Edwards’ entire family had flown in from out of state to celebrate her disco-themed birthday on Saturday.
Two photos were posted by the 56-year-old showing members of her family posing with peace earrings and hairpieces reminiscent of the 1970s next to a “Let’s Boogie” banner.
To everyone who made the long journey to Florida to celebrate my mom’s 80th birthday with us, I am eternally grateful.
She expressed her gratitude for the support in a Facebook post made just after midnight on Monday. “I will share pictures later, my mom had a blast. Love you all.”
Just eight hours after Wiggins took the photos, the 7-seater SUV tragically killed nine family members. It has been reported that not a single one of them was buckling up.
