Bill Conner unexpectedly lost his 20-year-old daughter Abbey in January 2017. During winter break, she and her brother Austin were found face down and unconscious in a Cancun pool.
By the time Abbey’s brother was rescued out of the water, she had already had permanent brain damage, according to CBS News.
Following Abbey’s family’s last goodbyes, medical professionals removed her organs in preparation for organ donation and transplantation.
With her driver’s license in hand, Abbey had registered as an organ donor when she was sixteen years old.
