This week, Donald Trump called on Ukraine to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and be invited to the table.
Putin intends to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Thursday in Turkey to ultimately negotiate an end to the fighting, the U.S. president disclosed in a post to Truth Social on Sunday.
He stated that he doesn’t think Zelensky ever sought to strike a deal with Putin and that Moscow is not amenable to a ceasefire agreement with Ukraine.
Ukraine ought to accept this right away. Trump posted on social media, “At least they will be able to decide whether or not a deal is possible.”
Next week, Trump will make his first journey to the Middle East since the beginning of his second administration.
Trump attacked Zelensky in his article following their altercation during their visit in the Oval Office earlier this year.
