With two quarters of negative growth, it puts the country in danger of entering a technical recession. The most recent recession happened in 2020 amid the two-month coronavirus outbreak.
Trump blamed Biden for the faltering economy on social media, as was to be expected.
On Wednesday, April 30, he posted on Truth Social, writing: “This is Biden’s Stock Market, not Trump’s.”
“I didn’t take over until January 20th,” he added. Companies are beginning to enter the USA in unprecedented numbers, and tariffs will soon begin to take effect.
“Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden ‘Overhang’.”
