Since declaring the tariffs on countries worldwide earlier this month, Trump has justified his economic strategy on numerous occasions.
Economists have also cautioned that Americans may have to pay for everything from their retirement plans to their cars and groceries.
Trump, however, has maintained that his tariffs are the solution and will eventually benefit the American people.
“We have huge financial deficits with China, the European Union, and many others,” he wrote on Truth Social earlier this month.
Tariffs, which are currently pouring tens of billions of dollars into the United States of America, are the only solution to this issue.
“They are already in effect, and a beautiful thing to behold.”
