Trump misrepresented the cost of food. It’s too ‘hard’ to cut expenditures, he argues. | Viewpoint

That Trump pledge to cut the cost of your food? Not going to occur. Prepare yourself for this piece of news. Trump was questioned about his pledge.

To lower food costs in a recent interview with Time magazine for its Person of the Year issue. I assume he was awarded Person of the Year for coining the phrase “groceries.”

He blamed the Biden administration, saying, “Look, they got them up, I’d like to bring them down.” Once things are up, they’re difficult to take down. You know, it’s very difficult.

Wait. Only a few weeks earlier, this same individual assured me that he would lower food costs and that “we’re going to do it very simply.” He now claims that it’s difficult. “Hard” and “simply” are very different!

Use a feather to knock me down. Opinion: Trump now has his MAGA propaganda arm with Kari Lake as its head.
