Who would have thought that Trump, a habitual liar, would fabricate something?
The man who claimed.
That Mexico would pay for the border wall (which Mexico did not), that he would release a “beautiful” health care plan to replace Obamacare (which he did not),
That he would release his tax returns (which he did not), that his tax cuts would “give the typical American household around a $4,000 pay raise” (which they did not),
And that his tariffs “are not going to be a cost to you, it’s going to be a cost to another country” (he was lying and admitted as much in a recent NBC News interview,
Saying “I can’t guarantee anything” when asked if his tariffs would raise prices) … It seems that he could have been deceiving us about the food pricing.
Since a president can’t do anything to lower food costs, it was all hocus-pocus in the first place. Did Democrats decide against pressing the “lower grocery prices” button because they wanted to lose the election?
