Biden’s proposal to ban all upcoming offshore drilling for natural gas and oil off the east and west coasts of the United States was criticised by Trump.
This is just one of several things Biden has done to thwart Trump’s plans for a second term. Trump said they were not promoting a “smooth transition,” saying,
“We are inheriting a difficult situation from the outgoing administration, and they’re trying everything they can to make it more difficult.”
Regarding Biden’s moratorium on oil drilling, Trump declared: “I would immediately rescind it. It will be completed right away.
And we’ll drill baby drill,” but it may be very difficult since Congress would have to amend the Biden moratorium, which is legally deemed permanent.
