A screenshot of Nesheiwat’s LinkedIn profile, which initially identified UAMS as her alma mater, was included in Clark’s post from April 20. UAMS was also mentioned by Nesheiwat in her X biography.
Her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean was added to her LinkedIn profile after the scandal.
Nesheiwat can still be given consideration for another position at the Department of Health and Human
Services even though her nomination as surgeon general was withdrawn. Trump expressed his hope that she will collaborate with Secretary Kennedy in a different role.
Now that Means has been nominated, the MAHA initiative and its leadership are positioned as key components of the
Trump administration’s ongoing signaling of a move toward preventative and holistic approaches to healthcare.
