Trump attended Pope Francis’ burial on Saturday after he tragically died on Easter Monday, April 21, at the age of 88. A week later, cardinals will assemble as part of a covert conclave to choose the new pope.
The closed-door gathering in Rome’s Vatican City’s Sistine Chapel is said to be attended by 135 cardinals from across the globe, but none of them are Trump’s preferred candidates.

Indeed, he replied: “My top choice would be to become pope.” Even though the president was obviously kidding, it nonetheless left many feeling, to put it mildly, quite uneasy!
