Twelve People Injured in Stabbing Incident at Hamburg Train Station, Suspect Arrested

The Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, located in Germany’s second-largest city, is a key transportation hub serving local, regional, and long-distance trains.

The police described the response as a “major operation” and said investigations are ongoing.

The incident occurred during rush hour around 6pm local time (5pm GMT) on tracks 13 and 14, where many trains depart, according to the Federal Police.

Photos shared on social media show emergency responders at the scene and crowds gathered outside the station.
