A gunshot wound in a shed behind the apartment building on Sylvan Lane, close to his residence. At 12:12 in the morning, he was declared dead.
“I can say our preliminary investigation at this point in time leads us to believe this is a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Neudigate said.

In response to a query on whether the investigation has uncovered any motive for the murders, Neudigate said that McCoy had a 2009 felony record.
Although Neudigate acknowledged that “a felon with a firearm would be a new felony charge,” he questioned whether it would be sufficient justification for him to murder two cops.
According to Neudigate, no charges are expected despite the fact that there was another person in the car when it was pulled over.
