Two Yale Students Raise $3.1 Million in 14 Days to Start a Social Network Driven by AI

To link people throughout its network, Series uses AI agents known as “AI Friends”—smart, customized digital matchmakers that reside in iMessage.

Series uses a double opt-in approach to make sure relationships are truly helpful on both ends, whether someone is an aspiring entrepreneur, a student searching for partners, or just someone looking for community.

The AI Friend receives requests via text, looks through the network, and replies with well chosen introductions.

Users are given simple profiles that emphasize purpose and commonalities rather than follower counts.

Crucially, members are required to register using an email address ending in.edu, which keeps the group rooted in a reliable academic network and student-centered.

Series has successfully connected students at universities including Yale, Princeton, and Northeastern and facilitated over 32,000 messages since its start in 2025.

After breaking into a hot car to save “Baby,” the officer discovers he made a grave error.

After the group’s victory, a 6-year-old Black competition dancer questions why her coach didn’t give her a hug.
