Two terrible tragedies have struck a family, and now they are speaking out about their pain. Tommy Adams-Bennett’s family met in a church in Sydney, Australia, on June 12 to bid farewell to the little kid.
Tommy succumbed of diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) on July 2, 2023, a rare and severe form of juvenile cancer. His diagnosis was in September 2023.
According to News.com.au, however, the family suffered further heartache at the funeral when Stan, Tommy’s grandpa, walked out of the church and fell.
Several medical professionals present at the ceremony fought for the grandfather’s life, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures before hastening his
transfer to the adjacent Blacktown Hospital. The “beloved Poppy” was declared dead at the hospital, which is a great loss.
