The purchase of the Easter eggs that killed two small children is purportedly captured on surveillance video that has been made public. Police in Imperatriz, Brazil, have detained Jordélia.
Pereira Barbosa in relation to the deaths of Luis, age seven, and his sister Evelyn Silva, age thirteen, who consumed an allegedly contaminated Easter egg and perished.
Mirian Lira, 32, the mother of the children, is still in serious condition in the ICU after eating the chocolate eggs herself. Luis unfortunately died a day later on April 17 after consuming.

The Easter eggs were allegedly brought to Mirian’s door by 35-year-old Barbosa as part of a “revenge” plan against her ex-boyfriend, who is now Lira’s lover.
