Riess confirmed their results on the Hubble constant by seeing 1,000 more Cepheid stars in five different galaxies as far out as 130 million lightyears from Earth.
“We can now rule out a measurement error as the cause of the Hubble Tension with very high confidence,” he said, spanning the complete spectrum of what Hubble saw.
“Webb and Hubble combined offer us the best of both worlds.” As we go farther up the cosmic distance ladder, we see that the Hubble measurements hold true.”
