Wilson informed police she assumed her ex had the keys when they inquired if she knew where they were. She cried, “I don’t know, he’s got it on his keys.” “I tried everything, including scissors.”
Wilson was finally released from the prison she had been in after her ex-boyfriend chained her up and threatened to kill her when he got home after he had already beaten her.
Slashed her hair with a machete, stripped her, and set fire to her clothing. Police used a hatchet to remove the chain from the floor and then used bolt cutters to cut the chains from Wilson’s neck.
Authorities stated in the arrest citation that “[he] forced the victim to take off some of her clothing, saying, ‘You’re gonna get it tonight,’ and, ‘I told you the next time you leave and don’t come home.
I’d kill you,’ and slapped her causing pain.”
They also stated that “[the suspect] manifested an extreme indifference to the value of human life by leaving the victim chained up in the house with no way of calling for help or leaving.”
