According to the same online booking documentation, Barzee was released from custody on May 2 following a court order.
Back in 2009, she had entered a guilty plea to charges of abduction and unauthorized transport of a minor in connection with the Elizabeth Smart case, as outlined in a Federal Bureau of Investigation statement at the time.
She was sentenced to a 15-year prison term in 2010 and was granted early release in 2018.
Barzee’s husband, Brian David Mitchell whom Smart testified had subjected her to daily abuse during her time in captivity is currently serving a life sentence for federal crimes.
