Barzee’s most recent arrest arrives just over a year after Elizabeth Smart, now 37, publicly reflected on her traumatic experience in a heartfelt social media message shared in March of the previous year.
“It will always serve as a reminder that miracles are real, that dreams can be realized, and that there is still much goodness in the world.”
Smart expressed in a TikTok video commemorating the anniversary of the day she was taken. “It’s truly a sign that life can be beautiful, that hope is powerful, and that we should never lose faith.”
She concluded with, “Wherever you are in life, I hope you find peace and happiness.”
