Wayne was the fourth eldest of the nine Osmond children and the second oldest of the original Osmond Brothers group. He was also the first of the Osmond brothers to die.
In 1958, he and his brothers Alan, Merrill, and Jay started performing as a barbershop quartet in Ogden, Utah, when he was only six years old. The Osmond Brothers became well-known.
In the 1960s when their performance at Disneyland caught the attention of Andy Williams’ father, a singer and television show, who invited the trio to perform on “The Andy Williams Show.”
The group proceeded to make frequent appearances on the program after shortly adding siblings Jimmy and Donny and changing their name to the Osmonds.
