Weeks before Christmas, a “tidal wave” of severe disease engulfs the UK, prompting a warning.

The NHS informed the media last week that this terrifying wave, which has also been termed a “quad-demic,” caused a 70% increase in hospital cases in England in a single week.

Additionally, last week saw an average of 1,861 patients with one of the four aforementioned ailments in the hospital every day, which is a sharp increase from 1,099 the week before and 402 at this time in 2023.

Covid-19, flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and norovirus (the “vomiting bug”) are the four horsemen of the 2024 holiday season, according to the UKHSA (UK Health Security Agency).

The latter three ailments have caused a massive increase in numbers in the last week alone, according to statistics issued by the health agency.

Additionally, the NHS also said earlier this year that the majority of coronavirus-infected individuals will suffer from “mild to moderate respiratory illness” as Christmas draws near.
