“As of now, we can confirm nine people have died after a man drove through a crowd at last night’s Lapu Lapu Festival,” police said. “Our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragic incident.”
The number of injuries has not yet been confirmed by the police.

Last night, a 30-year-old guy from Vancouver was taken into custody on the spot. He was ‘known to police’ in the past, it is thought.
Law officials stated that they do not think it was a terrorist incident while the inquiry is ongoing.
