“Daddy, is it safe to eat?” In response to Emma’s question, Jake nervously responded “yet.” He was confused and kept wondering who the pancake-giving person may be,
but because they were already running behind schedule, he dropped the children off at the daycare and headed to work.
Another surprise was waiting for him and the girls when they got home that evening. Jake hadn’t had time to mow the grass, but it was well-kept. Jake murmured to himself,
“This is getting weird,” and checked the home once again, finding nothing unusual. He woke up at approximately six in the morning and went into
