“Whoa a retirement? “Thanks Pamela for your years of dedication to the position,” one person said, while another added, “Milhouse, everything is no longer coming up.”
Others, appropriately worried about Bart’s best friend’s future, wondered whether the character would be cast again. One worried fan posted, “Is this the untimely end of Milhouse?”
Another fan added, “Does this mean no more Milhouse?!” “The Simpsons will always have a certain enchantment because of Pamela’s creativity,
Enthusiasm, and affection for her characters. “Everything’s coming up, Pamela,” said showrunner and executive producer Matt Selman in a statement.
“Pamela gave us tons of laughs with Milhouse, the unfortunate kid with the biggest nose in Springfield,” said creator Matt Groening.
“She made Milhouse hilarious and real, and we will miss her.” Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter have reported that the casting process for replacement actors is set to begin soon.
