Before discovering a letter in the glove box a few days later, Jennifer had forgotten what Jeff had said since she was so preoccupied with her new routine.
It said, “I hope the gift I left in the trunk is enjoyable for you and your kids.” When she eventually opened the trunk out of curiosity, she saw a white package on one side.
