When a woman dies in a shootout with a police officer, her family says she is not at fault.

A lady shot and retaliated against a police officer who was trying to arrest her for drug use. However, the woman’s family feels they know exactly who is to blame, even though bodycam evidence shows the entire episode.

Josh Baker, a Metropolitan Nashville Police Officer, ran the plates on a black Chevy Camaro and motioned for the driver to stop.

According to The Police Tribune, the officer assumed the driver was Demond Buchanan, the owner of the car, who had six pending narcotics warrants. Rather, it was Nika Holbert, age 31.

In the bodycam clip, Holbert is shown repeatedly disobeying Officer Baker’s directions not to reach into the car while he searches her luggage while she calls her mother to come get her.

He allegedly tells her that he will have to take her into custody after finding illegal substances in her suitcase.
