“When it rains, it pours”: A train strikes a limousine carrying a family to a funeral

MEMPHIS, Tenn. On Thursday afternoon, a train clipped a limousine carrying a family on their way to a funeral at a railroad crossing, just avoiding catastrophe.

Loved ones were waiting for the deceased’s family to arrive at the funeral home when the accident happened.

The father enters a guilty plea to manslaughter. “As tragic as it is, it could have been worse and God is still worthy to be praised,” she said.

As the limousine passed the junction, the train struck it, driving it more than 100 feet down the tracks and crashing through a fence before stopping.
