Theologian from the UK, stated that she believes the pope will be able to challenge them without getting into a fight.
“I think he might have this way of being quite a disarming presence,” she told the PA news agency from Rome. He is considerate and kind. He possesses nearly every trait that Trump does not.
“So if you think about somebody calm and not raucous, someone who thinks before they speak, someone who is centred.
He exudes a certain tranquility. He is also quite modest. He has nearly the exact opposite human traits from Donald Trump, which might be advantageous.
Regarding the pope’s eventual encounter with Trump, Prof. Rowlands continued, “I think the content of what he says will be quite challenging, but I also think he’s unlikely to be confrontational, given his nature.”
He won’t want to just criticize Donald Trump, in my opinion. I believe that he will sincerely wish to have a productive conversation with the
US government on issues like true human welfare, a just peace, global security, and a sincere commitment to true values.”
