When the results of a DNA test on a son who “doesn’t look like” him are received, the wife gathers the family.

“Susan,” Emily continued, turning to her mother-in-law, “For a long time now, you’ve been making comments about Daniel’s resemblance to Mark.

We’ve listened, we’ve let it go, but it’s time to put those doubts to rest.” Susan shifted uncomfortably in her seat. “I didn’t mean to—”

“Let me finish,” Emily interrupted, holding up her hand. “We understand that you might have had concerns. But Mark and I decided to take a DNA test to put an end to this once and for all.”

The room fell into a tense silence. Mark stood beside Emily, holding an envelope. He opened it, pulling out the official document.

“This test proves beyond any doubt that Daniel is my son. But more importantly, it proves that our love for him is what matters most.”

Mark took a deep breath and handed the paper to Susan. “It’s over, Mom. No more doubts, no more comments. This is our family, and nothing is going to change that.”

I taught my husband a valuable lesson when he made a new schedule for me to “become a better wife.”

With your eyes closed, you can’t tell the difference between the girl’s singing and Elvis’s.
