(KABC) ASADENA, CA — While responding to an incident in Pasadena on Tuesday night, a police officer shot and killed a dog.
According to the Pasadena Police Department, it all started on S. Hudson Avenue shortly after 9 p.m.
When officers received a complaint about a woman who was lying on the ground with an unrestrained dog.
The woman was speaking incoherently when they got there. The dog attacked one of the cops before the police arrived, despite their calls for assistance to the fire department and animal control personnel.
The dog was killed by an officer who opened fire at that point.
The woman was brought to the hospital and no one else was injured.
