Moscow said last week that a “coalition of the willing” in Ukraine might spark a nuclear World War Three and cautioned Britain against doing so.
Putin associate Russia opposed Western troops in the war-torn nation, according to Sergei Shoigu, the former defense minister and secretary of the influential Russian security council.
In a similar vein, he said that Europe is covertly planning for war against Russia by 2030 and warned of the Kremlin’s willingness to both employ nuclear weapons and resume atomic weapon tests in the Arctic for the first time since the Cold War.
He told official news agency TASS, “Sensible politicians in Europe understand that the implementation of such a
Scenario [putting Western troops on the ground in Ukraine] could lead to a direct clash between NATO and Russia and subsequently to World War Three.”
