The charges made against Meta
By purchasing Instagram and WhatsApp, Facebook is accused in the lawsuit of using “anticompetitive means” to protect itself from rivals.
As well as “the anticompetitive conditioning of access to its platform to suppress competition.”

This reflects CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s belief that “it is better to buy than compete,” which he declared in an email in 2008.
