Why only 18 TV episodes of Netflix’s newest hit series cost $250 million

One of the most costly shows Netflix has ever commissioned is now dominating the streaming service.

Netflix’s TV is booming right now thanks to the release of the tragic My Wife, My Abuser and the new season of Outer Banks. In spite of this, this program has surpassed them all.

To take the top place in the UK charts at the moment. However, considering that the program cost $250 million for only 18 TV episodes, this is hardly a Cinderella tale.

The days of spending $10 million on a full season of 24 episodes of prestige TV are long gone, since the cost of producing television has increased dramatically for shorter seasons.
