He said on Facebook, “Well, that was a bit of a rude awakening… (I) reckon most of the Hunter would have felt that shake.”
According to one resident of Newcastle, the shaking scared her so much that she believed someone was attempting to break into her home.
“The wardrobe doors were rattling and my bed was lifting off the floor… at least I didn’t imagine it,” she posted on Facebook.
