Following Cynthia Erivo’s recent indignant remarks, the fan who made the Wicked poster that received harsh criticism has spoken up.
A fan chose to alter the official poster for Erivo’s forthcoming film musical Wicked in order to more closely resemble the stage musical’s original artwork, which caused some controversy.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, the new film has Erivo as Elphaba staring straight at the camera while Ariana Grande’s character Glinda whispers in her ear.
Though fans quickly pointed out several significant discrepancies, such as Elphaba’s eyes being obscured by the brim of her hat,
Her lips being a vivid shade of red, and her grin, the picture is very similar to the one used to promote the original Broadway production.
