Later, from 1980 to 1981, Martindale hosted a revival of “Gambit” in Las Vegas.
To create and produce his own game shows, he established Wink Martindale Enterprises, a production firm.
His first project was a coproduction with Merv Griffin called “Headline Chasers,” which debuted in 1985 but was terminated after just one season.
From 1987 to 1990, his subsequent program, “Bumper Stumpers,” was broadcast on television in the United States and Canada.
He presented “Instant Recall” on GSN in 2010 and “Debt” on Lifetime cable from 1996 to 1998.
In 2012, Martindale made a comeback to radio as host of the nationally syndicated show “The 100 Greatest Christmas Hits of All Time.” 2021 saw him host the syndicated show “The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll.”
