In any event, Kevin Costner, the patriarch of Dutton, will not return for the rumored spinoff. In order to concentrate on his Horizon movie trilogy,
Costner, 69, formally left Yellowstone earlier this year. Additionally, he denied accusations that he was to blame for the delays in season 5B. “In November and December of 2022,
I gave them 25 of my days for this B thing.” 5B, as they termed it. “March [2023] as a whole,” he told Deadline in May. “I didn’t shoot 5B.” No script was present. Then everything fell apart.
“I left exactly when they wanted to, and it was difficult for me,” he said. As it turns out, they were missing the 5B scripts. The first eight episodes alone took an additional four days to finish.
I felt horrible that the audience didn’t get a perfect score, so I departed early to give them what they needed. Paramount Network has been contacted by Us Weekly for comment.
