“The truth is, they jumped him,” Carl Lind, Lind’s son, told KTVU.
One of his suspected attackers, Borhanian, was killed when Lind was able to shoot two of them. The landlord acted in self-defense, according to the prosecution’s conclusion.
McMillan told the Chronicle, “He pulled out his gun after they attacked him and shot two of them, killing one of them.” “The other one had three shots to the chest.”
The group used a samurai sword to attack the landlord, leaving him gravely wounded. KTVU was informed by McMillan that the sword was “stuck through his back with about a foot of it sticking out in front.”
After surviving the first assault, Lind was fatally stabbed on January 17, 2025.
