A aircraft disaster in Brazil has identified its pilot, calling him “experienced,” while the youngest victim is found to be just three years old.

His LinkedIn profile boasts that he has been a pilot for more than a decade, has been with the Voepass airline since 2022, and has flown more than 4,500 hours.

Romano was introduced as “always smiling” and “willing to help” by a coworker who had recommended him.

Photos of Romano completing a 15K race and celebrating the Palmeiras football team were posted on Facebook, so it seemed like he also enjoyed sports in his spare time.

The twin-engine ATR 72-500 jet that crashed in a residential area had Romano in the cockpit, according to officials.

Flight attendants Débora Soper Avila, 29, and Rubia Silva de Lima, 41, were also identified in the flight manifest, along with 61-year-old co-pilot Humberto de Campos Alencar e Silva, as reported by Globo TV News.
