Pintaru was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on September 10. He is presently destitute, despite the fact that he has a four-year-old child who resides in Manchester.
Prosecutor David Burns informed the court that the defendant approached an 11-year-old girl, placed her in a headlock, and stabbed her eight times in the body while they were visiting Leicester Square.
He further stated, “She sustained injuries to the face, shoulder, wrist, and neck region.” Fortunately, the infant was spared any additional harm as a result of the public’s intervention.
According to Mr. Burns, officers were summoned and discovered the defendant being held by members of the public.
The prosecutor further stated, “He was apprehended and searched, and a knife was discovered on his person.”
