A teenager has been named as a suspect in the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School.

Around 11 a.m., John Diaz de Leon II was at home watching TV when he heard the sirens of an ambulance and police car suddenly blaring in the normally peaceful neighborhood.

Their children went to Abundant Life Christian School when they were little, and De Leon and his wife reside approximately a block away.

After meeting with school administrators and determining that Abundant Life was a perfect match for their expanding family, they chose to construct their house close to the school in the late 1980s.

But when “not one, not two, but three and then more” sirens sounded in the area today, he sensed something wasn’t right.

When De Leon went outside, he noticed scores of pupils leaving the school, he claimed. While the younger children linked hands as school staff escorted them outside.

The older students hurried across the parking lot for a church. Additionally, he saw two policemen with what he called “long guns” and dogs make their way toward the school.
