Eventually, Gutierrez was transferred to a bigger jail, where she was held for a month before being allowed to go. In retrospect, she described the trip as the most painful.
She has ever had, even more so than her trips to war-torn Ukraine and North Korea. Saying, “I know that I’m not a person that is easy to deal with,”
Gutierrez expressed her displeasure. However, I did nothing wrong at the time. I just wanted assistance. She went on: “I was in a country that didn’t speak good English,
I don’t know nobody there but my husband, so I was just trying to look for help.” A request for comment on the issue has been sent to the Moroccan authorities.
