Madonna’s representatives were contacted by Page Six over the criticism, but they did not respond right away.

However, the seven-time Grammy winner has a history of igniting controversy, having done it several times throughout her career.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Vatican previously recommended that Madonna’s 1989 “Like a Prayer” music video be boycotted during her Blond Ambition World Tour.
